Christoff Debusschere Official Painter of the Navy Homage to Boldini oil on canvas 160x94cm Christoff Debusschere, French painter, born in 1962 in Paris. Introduced to painting very early on by his mother, a painter and musician. From 1978, attended Philippe Lejeune's course at the Atelier de la Vigne in Etampes. The latter will become his master, and Christoff Debusschere one of the most talented current representatives of the Ecole d'Etampes. Christoff Debusschère's favorite subjects are the atmospheres of unusual places such as ports, old hangars, theaters and even interiors. For the light that reveals them, he also likes old planes, carcasses of all kinds and mechanical parts. He received the silver medal then the gold medal at the Salon des artistes français, the Taylor prize awarded by the Salon d'Automne, the Paris Air Show prize, the Minister of Defense prize and the Grace de Monaco. Christoff Debusschere was appointed official painter of the Air Force in 1992, official painter of the Navy and official painter of the Army in 1997.
