Very beautiful openwork, chiseled and guilloché decorations for these solid silver fish serving cutlery bearing the Minerva 1st title hallmark and the Jean Granvigne goldsmith hallmark, 19th century, in beautiful used condition, in their case. Apart from the wear of the satin at the hinges, the rest of the box is in very good condition. Length 27 cm and 25 cm. Master goldsmith, Jean Granvigne. JG hallmark and a vine stock. Indicted in 1868, Jean Granvigne is a very great Parisian goldsmith who is characterized by very rich work and fine quality, so much so that Odiot regularly subcontracts productions to him. Located at 4 rue Béranger in Paris, the workshops were active until 1910, then were taken over by Tétard.
