"Craftsman's Leaflet Candleholder, Zig-zag, Cut Wrought Iron, 19th Century"
Primitive object: wrought iron light fixture, swivel candlestick and workbench foldout, called "St François" used during 18th and 19th century in french craftsmen's workshops. This object, intended to hold a candle, was embedded in the wood of the workbench, and was adjustable in 3 dimensions allowing the craftsman good precision in his work. Good condition, unpolished iron, 19th century work, one flaw however: the original iron pick was replaced recently by a more stable wall platine
Dimensions: Height: 24cm, closed: 18cm, open: 58cm Take a good look at our photos.....
