Rare Pewter QUESTING DISH with molded round edge, fitted with a centering socket on which rests a Virgin and Child.
Diameter: 27.3 cm. Height: 15 cm.
ROUSSILLON, Second half of the 18th century or beginning of the 19th century

Traces of gilding and silvering on the Virgin
This type of collection dish is characteristic of Roussillon productions. Several removable statuettes could be placed in turn in the center of the dish depending on the saint to be honored.
