"Charles Picart Le Doux (1897-1970) Magnificent Oil On Hardboard Representing A View Of Saint Tropez Saint-tropez Gulf"
On a hardboard panel, brushed with beautiful vivacity, the artist offers us a magnificent view of Saint-Tropez gulf with the village below and the Maures massif in the background. Here the artist was able to magnificently capture the light and restore the dazzling colors of the Mediterranean, the tangy yellow of the olive trees, the pink-oranges of the vines, the blues for the sea, the sky and the blue-violets for the mountains, white with a touch of green for the almond trees in bloom and even ochre-pink for the roofs of the famous city. A whole set of colors so evocative of the south. Signature at the bottom right "Picard Ledoux", the artist's first and last name recalled on the cartridge attached to the center of the frame. Dimensions: 60 cm x 81 cm (25 P format) 79 cm x 100 cm with its original stuccoed wooden frame with golden patina. Very good state. Some tiny scattered wear of gilding as well as a small loss in the frame, visible in the photos. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
