"Lorraine Buffet, 18th Century."
This generously molded sideboard is made of walnut for the front and oak for the sides. It opens on the front with two drawers and two doors, the center of the lower crossbar as well as the panel separating the two drawers are inlaid with a star. It rests on four slightly flattened ball-shaped legs and the bottom of the piece of furniture is surrounded by a small cornice. The brass hinges and entrances, the quatrefoil decoration of the doors as well as the small molding which runs all around the drawers are characteristic of Lorraine production. This very beautiful sideboard, with a beautiful patina, has retained all its charm, but it has suffered the ravages of time and has been restored in the past, the top, the front uprights, the feet and the cornices have been reworked. We acquired it in this condition, in excellent condition which allows us to resell it for a very low price.
