Auguste Jean Glassworks flag

Object description :

"Auguste Jean Glassworks"
We present this original piece by Auguste Jean, precursor of Art Nouveau (1830-1890), born on January 19, 1829 in Paris and died in Vierzon on November 3, 1896 at the age of 67, he was a glassmaker and ceramist. He arrived in practice before all these glassmakers such as Emile Gallé and the Daum brothers. He created interesting pieces in original shapes. Unfortunately Auguste Jean will never reach the ratings for his high-level glassworks. We believe that he is out of place and that one day his glassware will fetch higher prices. In the meantime, we are going to offer this glassware at a price which deserves special attention because it is attractive. (Weight 1.2 kg) (E23) Ref. ...............MG621
