Cups and saucers in soft porcelain from Tournai with landscape decoration with characters in purple monochrome supported by a gold terrace.
Mark with crossed swords with three gold crosslets, second period 1763-1781. Service attributed to the painter Duvivier*.
Second half of the 18th century.
H. cup: 7 cm; D. saucer: 14.4 cm. Wear of the gold net visible.
Cf. Christian Deroubaix, Tounai porcelain from the Mariemont Museum, n° 223, 227 and 229 pages 118 and 119 and plates 25 and 4, Zd. domaine de Mariemont (Belgium) 1958, for similar decorations.
* The three crossettes of the mark would indicate that the artist Duvivier was part of a Masonic lodge.
