Paris, Editions G. Crès et Cie in 1926. Very careful facsimile of the diary kept by Paul Gauguin during his first stay in Tahiti in 1891-1893. Illustrated with drawings, watercolors and woodcuts. The original manuscript, kept by George-Daniel de Monfreid, was given by the latter to the Louvre Museum in 1927. Limited edition of 100 copies printed at the Ganymed Press in Berlin by the Marées-Gesellschaft and under the direction of Mr. Meier-Graefe. This Hors Commerce copy bearing a personal number was intended for Agnès Huc née de Monfreid (label on the back cover). In-4.
