"Pair Of Paintings On Panels Early 19th Century"
Pair of very pretty paintings on panels from the beginning of the 19th century representing landscapes animated with characters in their original black wooden frames with gilded bronze spans. Superb quality, good original condition. A cleaning would do them good, varnish cracks. On the back there is a date 1823 and an inscription, Galla, perhaps an indication for the author. Dimensions: 17cm by 17cm Diameter of the painting: 10cm. Large thumbnail format. The characters are full of life and the skies are remarkable for small paintings.
