Georges Cheyssial was born in Paris in 1907. At the age of 14, he joined the Paris School of Fine Arts, Laurens' workshop. In 1932 he was awarded the Grand Prix de Rome, entered the Academy of Fine Arts in 1958 and became president of the Institute in 1975, and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français. Painting representing musicians: trumpet player and accordionist and also highlighted by a high quality Montparnasse style frame. Canvas dimensions: 31/54 cm Dimensions with frame: 52/75 cm
