"18th Century Cartel In Martin Varnish Decorated With Floral Motifs And Ornamented With Bronzes"
Superb and large 18th century cartel in Martin varnish with flower decorations on a green background. It rests on its console called the base of the lamp. The main part is largely decorated with bronzes in the shape of volutes and finely chiseled foliage. In the center the main bronze represents the scene of the crow and the fox. The enameled dial indicates the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. The whole is topped with a hat surmounted by a large bronze scroll and foliage. All of the wooden parts are decorated with patterns of flowers and foliage painted on a green background, the colors have remained very lively and luminous. Movement with original wire, completely revised by our watchmaker, the whole works and sounds perfectly. High quality work in very good condition, cleaned, polished and varnished bronzes, slight restoration of the paint, superb and very decorative set.
