Gouache representing a view of the gardens of Versailles by Tony Georges Roux, French painter born in Fontenay-sous-Bois in 1894 and died in Versailles in 1928.Signed and dated 1923 lower center.
Good condition, note a small accident on the left side (visible in the photos).
Original frame in wood and gilded stucco, with missing gilding.
Absence of protective glass.
Gouache dimensions : 72.5 x 57.5 cm.
Frame dimensions : 80 x 65.5 cm.
Antoine Georges Roux is the son of Alexandre Georges Roux (1853-1929), painter.
He competed from 1919 to 1922 for the Prix de Rome.
He died at his home in Versailles at the age of 34.
