This superb pair of polychrome earthenware bookends represents kneeling Chinese court ladies, playing a stringed instrument called liuqin which is a kind of lute. Probably from Eastern manufacturers, this rare model is in perfect condition with no repairs or hair. Superb quality colorful decorative set with a mark on the underside visible in the photos.
