"Oil On Canvas Signed Dantan"
Beautiful oil on canvas signed by Dantan for Edouard Joseph Dantan (1848-1897). This renowned painter created a varied body of work, ranging from nudes to landscapes and hunting scenes. He enjoyed highlighting the work of dogs dealing with game. Dantan also devoted himself to sculpture, creating bas-reliefs and busts in the round. The oil on canvas that I am offering you represents two dogs having smelled the presence of the pheasant. But where is he hiding?
