"prismenkanne" In Pewter - Chur (coira), 18th Century

Pewter wine bottle called “PRISMENKANNE” in hexagonal shape with screw cap topped with a large ring, fitted with a tubular spillway with hinged closing valve. An escutcheon bears property initials engraved and dated 1773.
Hallmark of Johann Ulrich III BAUER active from 1747.
Height: 36.2 cm.
CHUR (COIRE), Second half of the 18th century, before 1781.

In very good condition
This master died in 1781
Bibliography: “Die Zinngiesser der Schweiz und ihre Marken” by Schneider and Kneuss who reproduce this hallmark
