Rare and very beautiful painting representing the departure from the dock of a Turkish boat on the Bosphorus, original oil on canvas signed lower right SAVIGNY, Of superb quality of execution and with bright and shimmering colors, this painting is quite in the spirit of the orientalist painters of the end of the 19th century of which the artist is one. He was often confused with Henri MALFROY and his father Charles for his similar touch and subjects.
