Jacques Innocenti was a French ceramist, son of Odette Roche and Ljuba Naumovitch (a Serbian-born painter who later also became a ceramist). His parents separated before he was born. His mother remarried twice before tracking down Ljuba Naumovitch for her son's wedding, with whom she finally married in 1949 (the same year as her son's marriage to Nydia Ronin). Between 1946 and 1949, Jacques Innocenti attended the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where he met Nydia Ronin, who was to become his wife in Vallauris in 1949. That same year, 1949, his parents set up the Grand Chêne studio on route du Fournas, and Jacques Innocenti and his wife decided to open a studio in Vallauris on rue Sicart. Sadly, in 1954, Odette and Ljuba died in a car accident, and it was Jacques and his wife who took over the Grand Chêne factory. Sadly, Jacques died in 1958.
Condition: tiny chips along the rim of the dish, one chip in the ceramic at the base.
