"19th Century Bronze Lantern On Rue De Rivoli In Paris "
Hanging lantern in bronze/copper and brass. This one came to light the arcades of the rue de Rivoli opposite the Louvre Palace, installed around 1855 during the remodeling of the main Parisian roads. Caught in a double brass bracket, the copper lantern is conical in shape, an access door to the lighting. Topped with a bronze crown, its base ends with scrollwork ornamentation. 19th century work characteristic of the most beautiful Parisian neighborhoods.
