"Bottle Of Iridescent Dutch Rum"
A beautiful bottle of Dutch rum, also called a "kattenkop" or "union bottle". Rum was shipped in these bottles to the Dutch overseas colonies. The bottles were stacked in crates and then transported by boat. This specimen dates from the beginning of the 18th century and presents a beautiful iridescence, due to long conservation in the ground. These bottles have been mouth blown.
Condition: Very good, there is a surface scratch on the bottle that looks like a crack, but it is not. The original cap is still in it.
Dimensions: 20x14cm
