This is number 13 of a set of caricatures published in 1899/1900 on the initiative of a certain V. Lenepveu, in the midst of the anti-Dreyfusarde campaign, under the title "Museum of Horrors" , and which ended at number 51 with the "Polichinelle breton" (no allusion to current events...)

This poster refers to the very famous affair of the french jewish military officer, Alfred Dreyfus, first condemned then rehabilitated following the publication of "J'accuse" by Emile Zola in the newspaper l'Aurore n°87 du 13 janvier 1898.
