The decoration called "Colandine", from the name of the English manufacturer who invented it, is characterized by an oriental style garden with pagodas, flowers and a stream in the foreground, this decoration was very fashionable at the end of the 19th century and was widely copied from Italian and European producers.
A brief historical note regarding the decal decoration technique: this technique dates back to the second half of the 18th century but was introduced in Italy only in 1820.
Both pieces are in excellent condition, with only a small and insignificant chip on the bottom of the tureen (see last photo).
