"Sculpture - Bronze - Passing Bull - J. Bologna - Italy - 18th Century "
Statuette of a passing bull after a model by John of Bologna di Giambologna* (1529-1608) Bronze on an oval stepped base in black marble and sienna marble. The animal is shown in profile, its head turned to the left and its left paw raised. * The Giambologna model, probably made for the Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici, was documented for the first time in 1753.
