"Extraordinary And Monumental “vine” Vase By Ioan Nemtoi After Daum Era Galle Novaro"
Extraordinary piece of glassware. Monumental "Vignes" vase by Ioan NEMTOI based on the famous "Vignes" vase made with applications by Daum, present at the Nancy Museum of Fine Arts, Place Stanislas (see last photo). What glass work! Let's already talk about volumes, 75 cm in height, 41 cm in diameter, more than 17 kilos!!!! Entirely cane-blown piece with a large piedouche (one wonders how this is even achievable), a ball applied hot to the vase and an immense body, cone shape. signed at the base. A multitude of colors in powdered interlayer in the glass. Pink, blue, green, brown, khaki are in the glass. Note especially all these applications, these brown colors on the upper part for the vine shoots and these bunches of pink grapes with branches, all in application. If you look at the Daum vase in the museum (last photo), we find this same work, and quite honestly with the same quality... except that the one in the museum is 30 cm.... For glassware lovers, it is a colossal and impressive glasswork. Let's return to Ioan NEMTOI, internationally known master glassmaker. He studied at the Bucharest Academy of Arts for 6 years and created his first glassworks in 1995. His works are today sold throughout Europe and the United States where he has had numerous exhibitions. He is now very famous in Europe. These pieces are present in the Vatican and in the entrance to the UNICEF headquarters in New York. He also has his own gallery in the Soho district. He cooperates with MCLaren in London. He is currently developing an international glass academy in Dorohoi where young glassmaking talents from around the world come to improve thanks to his technical skills. He is a world-renowned artist. These vases were an order for a French castle and certainly a great challenge for this talented glassmaker. I can't imagine the price of these pieces when purchased from his workshops, and even less so the price of the vase with vines from the museum in Nancy. These vases were made in two copies. We will agree on delivery with the buyer, no shipping of course. An exceptional, beautiful and impressive piece of glassware. For a discerning, unique collector.
