This tripartite bronze bit with a green-brown patina is composed of two psalia with two pairs of bird protuberances - probably eagles - facing each other. Each has a ring around the neck to allow the reins of the mount's harness to be passed through. A crossbar, called the barrel, with inverted hemmed ends, is rigid and square in cross-section.
Provenance :
Former private collection acquired in the 1960s, Paris.
