Remarkable ensemble created by Jacques GRUBER (1870-1936) & Speranza CALO-SEAILLES (1885-1949). for the church of Clamecy (58) "The Stations of the Cross", 1928. Suite of twelve stations (stations 9 and 14 are missing) in ribbed LAP panels, including: -"Jesus is condemned to be crucified"; -"Jesus is loaded with his cross"; -"Jesus falls for the first time under the weight of the cross"; -"Jesus meets his mother"; “Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry his cross”; -"Saint Veronica wipes the face of Jesus"; -"Jesus falls for the second time"; - “Jesus meets the weeping women of Jerusalem”; “Jesus is stripped of his clothes”; -"Jesus is nailed to the cross"; -"Jesus dies on the cross"; -"Jesus is taken off the cross and his body is given to his mother".
