"Bamboo Style Mirror "
Mirror with turned and carved wooden frame in bamboo style, late 19th century period. Of Japanese inspiration, “faux bamboo” furniture developed in the last quarter of the 19th century. This style is gaining momentum thanks to the privileged relationships that Emperor Napoleon III maintains with Asia and the countries of the Rising Sun, and in particular thanks to Empress Eugenie's very pronounced taste for Decorative Arts from these countries.
