Léopold Anzengruber was born in 1912 in Steyr, Austria. He discovered ceramics in Florence and completed his studies in 1942. In 1948 he took over the ceramics workshop of Gusti Mundt-Amann in Vienna. He is best known for his modernist ceramic sculptures which have been sold around the world.
