Meissen porcelain elongated court figurine, designed for salt and pepper. Lady on bowl model (Dame an Schale) created by Johann Joachim Kaendler around 1762 with blue onion decoration. Marked with blue crossed swords and numbered 2875. Paired with the Cavalier figurine on bowl numbered 2872. Listed in the Meissen - Bergman catalog. The onion decoration is an invention of Meissen, its success was such that it was taken up by many manufacturers in Europe.
