Franchto – The Pear Tree – Oil On Canvas – Signed And Dated 1972

Large oil on canvas, halfway between figurative and abstract.
We can clearly see the structure of the tree, its branches which fill most of the space. The different tones of gray mark the succession of shots. A few leaves always located at the end of the branches, punctuate the composition. The background is particularly worked, suggesting a stone wall and the sky. Small blue touches energize the whole.
The work is signed Francheto (Signature of the artist also known as Franchto) lower right. The date of execution (1972) is specified on the back.
A beautiful painting that deserves to be displayed on a large white wall!
The work is in perfect condition, very clean, without any restoration. Like many contemporary works, it is sold without a frame, simply surrounded by a wooden stick.

The artist
Franchto is a painter from Pornic (Brittany, France). In 1960, he founded L'Ecole de Bouin with Yvon Traineau and a few friends, the painters Bonno, Barto, Gaston Planet. They exhibit their paintings constantly and impose the themes on which they work. Their workshop is open, we talk about technique, we discuss art.
