Hunter's pipe in carved horn - Attributed to Lebrecht Schulz (1774-1863) This rare hunter's pipe is made from original deer and deer horns. A very elaborate hunting scene with riders and dogs near a deer at bay decorates the stove. The artistic work is attributed to Lebrecht Wilhelm Schulz, Meiningen, Thüringen, Germany, around 1850/60. Lebrecht Wilhelm Schulz (1774 - 1863) was a famous horn sculptor in the early 19th century. Historically mentioned works of art include two horns that he made as a tribute to the victors of Waterloo - Wellington and von Blücher. This item contains animal parts that belong to non-threatened, non-endangered animals and comply with US Fish & Wildlife regulations. They do not appear in CITES Appendices I and II.
