"Secretary In Walnut Burl, Late 18th Century "
Late 18th century straight desk. Walnut burr wood veneer. It opens with an upper drawer, a flap and two leaves. The latter reveals a secret drawer and a shelf. The flap features marquetry: a medallion depicting a quiver full of arrows and a bow. It opens onto a shelf, compartments and two sets of three drawers. Wood discoloration is present on the shelf. A socket is missing on one of them. The leather of the writing desk is somewhat worn. The exterior locks are in bronze decorated with knots. All locks are closed by two keys, which are supplied.
