"Pair Of Torches In Chiseled And Gilded Bronzes With Double Patina, Empire/restoration Period "
Pair of chiseled bronze candlesticks with double brown and golden patina. Beautiful decoration of a wreath of flowers followed by Pampres (branches of vines with its leaves and bunches) on the base. The barrel is fluted with a brown patina and ends with a diamond frieze decorated with bunches of grapes, topped with a garland of fruits and flowers. The Binet is also richly decorated with leaves and finished with its original Bobèches. Well-balanced and large set, made up of 10 pieces, a guarantee of quality. The mercury gilding is of good quality with a beautiful alternation of matte and burnished. Note: some slight wear to the gilding but still well preserved despite the age of our torches which are over 200 years old. This pair of candlesticks is from the end of the Empire period and the beginning of the Restoration, around 1815-1820
