Second Half of the 19th century Poitou-Charente - Deux Sèvres Monumental French regional headdress from the Deux Sèvres region in Poitou-Charente. Gâtinelle or Malvina type. Architectural crush in rigid cardboard covered with white satin and topped with a brass wire for shaping. Headdress entirely covered with embroidered tulle secured by pinning and bubbled passes at the back. Wide ribbon made of cream silk, tied behind with long passes in the back (small damage to the ribbon). No defects, clean headdress. Beautiful state of color and conservation. Dimensions: Head circumference 58 cm, cap height 30 cm, length of ribbon panels 50 cm.
