"Bonnenfant : Rare 18th Century Louis XV Solid Silver "curon" Wine Cup - Mantes 1768-74"
Heavy Louis XV era  "Curon" wine cup in solid silver from the rare bureau of Mantes. Uni model with filleting under the rim and “MA DUVAL” lettering. Hallmarks of Charge (A Crowned) and Discharge of the Jurisdiction of PARIS 1768-74, Hallmark of Common House for MANTES 1756-74 (B Crowned with a fleur de lys and an oak branch) and mark of Master Goldsmith Eustache-Charles BONNENFANT received to practice in Mantes in 1739. This heavy Curon (92.4 grams) from the rare Mantes bureau is in very good condition and remarkably well hallmarked, micro-scratches from use. For an informed collector...
