Originally from Rouen and cousin of André Gide. He was a student of Laurens and J. Lavée. He was present at the Paris Salon of 1893 where he received a third medal and in 1894 at the same Salon received the second medal. Very attached to Rouen and its region. Present in national collections. The Maison de Victor Hugo has just acquired several of his works. Ink drawing on paper signed and dated (1896) lower right.
