Indochina / China: Cigarette Or Card Case In Sterling Silver With Dragon Decor. Nineteenth Century

Superb cigarette case, which can be used as a card holder, decorated with a silver dragon.

The case is rectangular, it is curved to fit the shape of the body when it is in a pocket.

The lid has a magnificent embossed and chiseled decoration of a dragon moving in the clouds. The shield to engrave a number on it is left blank.
The carving work is magnificent, the head, the dragon's scales and the clouds are clearly chiseled and sharp.

The back has a checkerboard decoration with flowers.
