A twentieth century Italianate landscape painting in the convincing style of the Old Masters, framed, in an impressive size of 91 x 60 cm (with frame 121 * !to cm), signed lower left by TONI BORDIGNON (born 1921 ), painter renowned for his Old Master style. Toni Bordignon was born in Treviso in 1921.During his art studies, he learned the style and technique of the great Venetian painter Guglielmo Ciardi and was inspired by the subjects of his paintings, those of the Venetian lagoon and the countryside of Treviso.
It is precisely the landscapes overflowing with nature that invade the artist's paintings. Toni Bordignon's style is characterized by brushstrokes that leave small spots of color which, when brought together, create a great visual effect, without forgetting the water rendered beautifully with all its reflections. The atmospheres evoked are poetic.
