Euphémie MURATON (1840-1914) STILL LIFE WITH FRUITS Oil on canvas signed lower left 29 x 48 cm Period frame Born Camille Euphémie Duhanot, she married the painter Alphonse Muraton in 1854, of whom she was a student. She began at the Salon of 1868 and specialized in the representation of still lifes and floral arrangements as well as animals. Two important sales of her works were made to Drouot by Eugène Féral in 1888 and 1890. In 1893, she exhibited among thirty French women painters at the Chicago World's Fair at the Women's Pavilion3. She is the mother of Louis Muraton.
