Very finely detailed and stylized bronze sculpture representing a couple of ducks on a marble base. Signed C. Brasch. In terms of approach and stylization, this work is modern and somewhat reminiscent of the later work of François Pompon. Carl August Brasch (1866-1938) German sculptor. He is the son of the Leipzig portrait painter Friedrich August Brasch. After high school, Carl Brasch attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig. He then went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin.
