7-branch Candleholder “simon” By Borek Sipek (1989) flag

Object description :

"7-branch Candleholder “simon” By Borek Sipek (1989)"
"Simon" candle holder created by Borek Sipek in 1989. Made of silver-plated steel, it deploys 7 branches which undulate upwards like the shoots of a wild plant.
In its center, a removable cone vase allows it to be used as a table centerpiece.
Representation of a plant fantasy mixing baroque and surrealism.

Borek Sipek (1949-2016) first studied Interior Design at the School of Arts and Crafts in Prague before setting up his own design studio in Amsterdam in the early 1980s. It was at this time that he begins to collaborate with DRIADE, the publisher of our candle holder. Throughout this period of creation, he remained attached to the notion of craftsmanship and explored its technical limits, whether in the field of metal or glass (particularly in Murano).

Silver-plated metal in perfect condition (no shocks, no scratches, no wear to the silvering) DRIADE Edition.
