Large format in-piano (43x57cm) Green shagreen cover 56 albumen prints pasted on cardboard including prints by Carlo Naya and Paolo Salviatti Carlo Naya (1816-1882) is one of the pioneers of photography in Italy. After studying law in Pisa, he moved to Venice in St Mark's Square to open one of the largest establishments dedicated to photography of his time. Paolo Salviati directed one of the first and most active photographic studios in Venice in the second half of the 19th century.
