(mercury export hallmark) French work in Neo-Gothic style, by the famous house DEMARQUET which specialized in the creation of pieces of religious goldwork. Pair of fairly rare candelabra with a base enhanced with agate cabochon Model may be common for the House. DEMARQUET. This pair of candelabras were probably intended for the northern European market. Mercury hallmark for export, also a Dutch control hallmark. Only one of the two candelabras is hallmarked. The arms of lights can be unscrewed.
