The landscape is the work's sole subject and the element of water is the characterising one; in the foreground are the rocks and vegetation framing the water leaping between the rapids, while in the background perspective it remains still and flows between the gentle hills.
Canvas 78x55cm approx. Reintelo not recent on the sn. side there is a small hole (see photographic detail). Empire frame with large gouge.
