Amazing bell cord for calling the servants. This object is difficult for me to date...Napoleon III, Art Nouveau, Art Deco? In any case, an astonishing object of decoration and curiosities! It comes from a luxurious Parisian apartment decorated at the end of the 1950s by the famous antique dealer and decorator Madeleine Castaing. We find in this object his taste for exuberance and originality! It is made up of an assembly of colored glass cylinders patterned with flowers and parrots. In good condition, it has some tiny gaps and restorations visible in the photos. Its size is impressive, approximately 2 meters in height.
