"Provençal Armchair Louis XV Period, 18th Century Armchair, Cabriolet "
Superb Louis XV period convertible armchair, Provençal work from the mid-18th century. This seat is worked with flower sculptures on the base, the front crosspiece, as well as on the top of the backrest. Acanthus leaves on the shoulder. Armrests with a beautiful “whiplash”. Base ending in shells, including on the rear legs of the chair. Very beautiful work of very thick and pleasantly animated moldings over the entire seat. This convertible is in superb condition and also has very recently redone upholstery. The seat is therefore impeccable. The covering fabric is extremely elegant, it is a satin fabric decorated with very delicately embroidered wild flowers in light relief (see penultimate photo). The patina is superb. Remarkable example of Provençal work from the mid-18th century.
