Scene composed of a masked man, wearing a period hat and a card player below. Dimensions: 34.3 x 48 cm This mysterious, masked character, called Comrade Louis XV, has been used cinematographically twice. The first time in “The Blood of a Poet” in 1930/1932, and the second time in “The Testament of Orpheus” in 1960. The star under the signature “Jean” is contemporary with the 50s and 60s, this which dates this drawing to around 1960. We thank Annie Guédras for providing us with this valuable information.
