Pair Of Italian Mid-century Acrlyic Table Lamps Gilded Base By F. Loffredo 1970s
Artist: Ferdinando Loffredo
Pair of very chic acrylic glass table lamps by Ferdinando Loffredo.
The conical, clear acrylic base has a ribbed profile at the top and bottom, with a small brass rim at the bottom.
The base stands in a square plinth that is also stepped.
The lowest part of the base is made of brass and covered with gold leaf (21.5 x 21.5 cm)
The gold leaf already has a slightly crackled look and a somewhat rough surface which provides a very attractive contrast to the smooth acrylic.
There are 2 sockets and the top of the shade is covered with a solid square brass button at the top.
The slightly conical shade with a height of 24 cm is made from a slightly coarser Bourett silk from Dedar Milano
matches the base perfectly in terms of structure and color.
The cognac-colored shade echoes the 1970s color palette of earthy tones.
