"Maurice Flavion “the Sun Will Darken”, (1909-1986)"

Painter, watercolorist, gouachist. Studies at the Charleroi School of Art and the Montignies-sur-Sambre Music School. Geometric style close to abstraction which is sometimes linked to cubism. Painter of landscapes, still lifes, compositions with musical instruments, views of the port and the coastline. Evolves towards lyrical abstraction inspired by landscape and imaginary metropolises. Exhibition in Thuin, with the artists of Thudinieen 1957-1958 and in Namur at the Meuse gallery in 1962. Here is a beautiful example of the abstract work proposed by Maurice Flavion.
