Rare messenger box from the Louis This solar decoration is certainly a reference to the “Sun King”. This beautiful box also features a beautiful wrought iron latch and handle on top of the wrought iron lid. The corners, reinforced with metal angles, are decorated with nails forming arrows on the lid. The interior is covered with a marbled paper, similar to those used to bind books in the 17th and 18th centuries.
